That is a great quote. It will probably go in my notebook of favorite quotations. Was John fluent in French and if so, how did that boy from Liverpool (?) come to be so. On a different thought: where can one find instruction on how to write French style cursive handwriting? Thank you for sharing so many lovely things with us.

–P.S. I have a red beret just like yours that I wear in the winter!

      Hello Barbara,

      Thanks for reaching out !

France and England are so close, it’s not too surprising that John Lenon spoke some French although I am not certain of his actual fluency. As for the cursive writing, there are some great resources online. I would actually just find some children’s instruction manuals from the Maternelle (Kindergarten) and follow those… Make sure you are using the appropriate French style ruled paper, or it will be really hard to get it right. I home schooled my three boys and taught them, it’s not too hard. Try these two online resources to start: https://lewebpedagogique.com/monsieurmathieundlronchin/tag/fichier-decriture-grande-section/ and http://www.webinstit.net/graphisme/ecrire_cusive.htm. Feel free to check back in if you need further assistance. Good luck with the handwriting exercises! GGG
